sadness

there seems so much I had to tell you guys
then I found out today
a friend lost her VERY young husband
to a massive heart attack last nite
and all my tidbits disappeared

my heart is aching for her
I made a card & sent it out to her first thing
I met this friend in the craft world and so it seems fitting
that makin that card this morning was my therapy
how I dealt with the loss of her husband
how I grasp the importance of all those I love
how I show her how much this impacts me
how I offer my support

I hope my card gets there fast

what've been up to

I have been so busy

as I am sure the rest of you are

gettin ready for the holidays

I decorated

the boys & I made some gifts

I shopped

lots

lol

and even got a lot of scrap shoppin in the states

I finished my christmas cards

sent out several gifts to online friends abroad

oh yeah

I worked full time in there

my arch of my right foot fell & I have planter fasciatis

ouch

ouwies to my foot & my pocketbook

cost me 580 bucks for an insole

yes you heard correct

no shoe

just the insole

ouch

but my feet are feelin better

so whatever

it is VERY cold here

we bought Doug a new truck

it has heated seats

makes us feel like adults :)

anyways

hope your xmas stuff is all under control

I find it hard to believe we have been together for over 20 years

and already married 13 :)

I love you now for many more reasons than when we got married

but I am most happy with the fact that I still like you

through all the trials in my life there has always been us

you are my best friend...my everything

xmas cards

I have been thinkin long & hard this year about my Christmas cards

usually I do funny pics of the boys with cute sayings & call it done

but this year Doug says "Let's do somethin different"

firstly you are all thinkin "what does Doug have to do with the cards?"

yep also my first thought...then I thought well maybe he should do them...that'd be different

LOL

but then I woke up & realized if anyone wants a Christmas card this year

I'd better get started :)))

So for this year I decided Christmas is about St.Nick

I loved this stamp from Tim Holtz as soon as I saw it

it just screamed Merry Christmas to me :)

so I went with the post card theme

with a wish of peace to all

on the back I will include a picture

I just haven't took it yet :)))

I hope you & your trickertreaters had an awesomely fab nite!!!

We did!

Doug took the boys to our close neighbours

and then they sat on the couch & watched all the kids with me!

we had a blast

Nick said "can we sit with you every halloween mom?"

I guess their flu didn't wrech their time :)))

so we are good & were so scared of our trickers...lol

the best was a full out dragon with makeup that was killer

and he couldn't even walk yet!!!

needless to say his parents were excited lol!

I have been awake for a steady 3 days with their coughin
and 3 days before that with my own

btw: note the lollipop flowers idea came from my trip to etown

I helped my girl tammy finish off her flowers for a swap she was in

and they were very similar to these, made from transperencies, heat embossed with white embossing powder to let them crinkle up...thanks T

well I made these this morning...so I won't miss this challenge!

It was great cause I wanted to make Ms.W Zack's teacher something special for halloween

she loves chocolate so it was easy to think of what to make :)

I have been workin too much

the boys have been super busy with all the stuff for school & sports

and I have been spendin every nite at the shop helpin Doug & Clay get set up

so I have had no time for crafts...the upside is I cranked two cards & a bar out this morning in less than 2 hours...pent up craftin frustrations I guess...lol...see ya soon
