Well, there were so many who volunteered to join in that we had to do a second one! The illustrators of Whimsy Stamps have come together to draw a special set of digi images for the purpose of raising money for the relief effort in Japan. All proceeds from the sale of these images will be donated to that cause. Kenny K, Raindrop Echo Designs, Meljens Designs, and Crissy Armstrong all contributed art work. Kenny K made a very special image for the hop

so here is my card featuring it.

I decided to make a card illustrating my own style of benefit concert

"a crafty benefit concert!!!"

I used the center of the Japan flag

glossy "accented" & froze it

to make it crackled.

I wanted it to appear like it is "broken"

just like Japan is right now.

SPS my hero, my mom

any & every person who knows me

knows my mom is my hero

she raised me & my sisters alone

was there for us, for me,

when no one else was.

She will always be THE most important

woman in my life.

I can only be inspired & aspire for my boys

to be half of what she has been to me.

So this week at SPS

we are honoring our mom's

and/or heros.

My mom has always loved yellow roses,

we at the crafty purple frog are far from square :)

I have made shaped cards before

but I do not think I have ever made a rectangle shaped card.

So outta the square for me

As soon as I saw this new image from kenny k

I thought of women fighting breast cancer

the image just seems like an awesome representation of that fight

so when I saw the theme this week

my storage & somethin special

This is where I sit at the computer

and really where I do most of my stuff

I guess you could call it my crafting hub :)))

My hubby & I built this paper rack yesterday

and I spent most of the nite organizing my papers

on the top of the 12x12 rack are 8 1/2x11

plastic racks I bought at the local hardware store

the plastic magazine rack holds my 6x6 cardstock,

each envie has it's own color

not sure I love it but will keep it like this for now

here is some bling, charms & flower storage

in the drawers are mostly my embellies

this is my new containor that fits my copics perfectly :)


this is some letters with hangers I bought from Mike's last week
I hung the baggies on them & made it my misc tools section :)
anyways if you have any questions about my room let me know

Also this week I got a new ring :)
I have been dreaming of a past, present & future ring forever.
I dreamt of using my old diamond from my original setting
(it had been loose in the setting so I stopped wearing it a while back)
when I stopped wearing it we bought another
solitare ring that I had been wearing.
So we took my old diamond (past)
the one I was wearing (present)
bought a new one (future)
and combined them all into this beautiful setting :)

I feel so spoiled
so much like a queen
