nothin "distressing" at TCPF!!!

LOL but that's our theme at TCPF this week

DISTRESSING

So I printed this beautiful new sheet on a transparency

then I saw the light cast off of it while I cut it

and it reminded me of a sunset/sunrise

so then I distressed the background my best to look like a red sky,

the metal words, flowers & buterflies were also distressed with Tim Holtz

when I think of winter

I think of hockey

I LOVE to watch it

I LOVE to watch my boys & hubby play

and I LOVE to play myself :)

infact I gotta pink & black graphite hockey stick for xmas

is blue, white & silver

and my favorite hockey team of all time is

THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS!!!

I thought why not make a card for me :)

and so I did!

My sweet baby boy is 9!!!

OH MY WORD!!!
I seriously can not believe 9 years have past since my little star was born.
this is my scrapped page from years ago.

I looked at it last nite & it put some of my sadness in check.

the power of memories is amazing.

As I felt Nick's baby blanket along the side of this page, I surely counted my blessings.

The beginning...my happy...beautiful dream



and look at the MASSIVE LITTLE MAN he has become!!!



I still look at him with amazement
that he is mine
made from our love.
miraculous indeed!

and here are my neices & nephews at the party just havin fun :)

I was so happy to see my oldest 2 neices smiling & laughin.
They are the one's who lost their aunt and I do believe they had more than just fun.
They understood we stand strong together...always...no matter what happens!
we hugged tight...filling eachother with one another's love.

I want you all to know my family & I
have been overwhelmed with the
love, support & friendship
extended by so many.
WOW is all I can say
you crafters are some special peeps :)

you have helped my sisterinlaw and brotherinlaw

and our families

face these, most difficult times

for that I am eternally grateful

please hug yourselves (real tight) from me

I thought I had cried my last tear
and then I got another call today.
One of my brother in laws lost his sister today

45 years young
aneurysm
more heartbreak
more questions
more suffering
more tears
and just sadness.

I saw this afternoon a commercial for
Children's Fund of Canada
I know my brother in law's family
have always sponsored a child at Christmas time
combined with my feelings of helplessness.
Normally I would not even look
but off to the website I went.
The boys picked out gifts
a basketball (zack)
fruit trees (nick)
and I purchased an Art Kit for a family.
For me it was all I feel I can do.
This is my way to send a message & try to heal.
I don't feel better yet.
but the boys seemed pleased.
I guess time
man I feel sad.

I made a card for him & my sister
but I thought it was too private to post.

Thank you for your thoughts for my sister in law
and your prayers for my brother in law.
I know they need all the help they can get.

I am so sad to say
the baby that would have joined our family
was born last nite way too early.
I was so excited only to be crushed.
My sister in law must endure a sadness
I remember all too well & would not want for anyone.
But she is not alone in it
my boys are so brokenhearted
they wanted a baby cousin so bad
my inlaws
my husband
her partner
the entire family.
My heart is heavy with anger, questions & grief.
Sometimes things in life are just so wrong.
