and yet more sadness

I thought I had cried my last tear
and then I got another call today.
One of my brother in laws lost his sister today

45 years young
aneurysm
more heartbreak
more questions
more suffering
more tears
and just sadness.

I saw this afternoon a commercial for
Children's Fund of Canada
I know my brother in law's family
have always sponsored a child at Christmas time
combined with my feelings of helplessness.
Normally I would not even look
but off to the website I went.
The boys picked out gifts
a basketball (zack)
fruit trees (nick)
and I purchased an Art Kit for a family.
For me it was all I feel I can do.
This is my way to send a message & try to heal.
I don't feel better yet.
but the boys seemed pleased.
I guess time
man I feel sad.

I made a card for him & my sister
but I thought it was too private to post.

Thank you for your thoughts for my sister in law
and your prayers for my brother in law.
I know they need all the help they can get.
Thank you for visiting me
and your hugs

sorry I continue to be sad.
sorry if you don't wanna read about such stuff
sorry these things happen
sorry for so many things

It's ok to be sad, perfectly normal and perfectly ok! It's also fine to write about it...it's your blog. It's going to take time to heal. I know that's a cliche' but there's a reason for that...it's also true. There is no time table and it's not going to be like a light switch, but gradual. Meanwhile hug your kids and count your blessings.

Part of the healing process is being able to talk about your sadness. We are here anytime you need to talk. My prayers are with you and your extended family.

Oh Vanessa, I am so sorry you are going through so much sadness right now. Life is cruel sn't it?

Of course it is perfectly normal to feel sad, in fact if you diddn't you wouldn't have a heart.

Big hugs and give your boys an extra tight squeeze as you tuck them in tonight, they sound like wonderful generous, giving young men and you should be very proud of them.

You and your family are in my prayers.

To Vanessa
From DeJong Family
We just wanted to send our appreciation out to you. The beautiful words you used in your blog filled our hearts with your understanding of our sadness. Thankyou for reaching out to what we believe in and sending gifts to those less fortunate, Caroline would have absolutely loved that. Its amazing that even through all this sadness you can still be creative with your ideas and make beautiful cards, send beautiful flowers, and be a beautiful person.
Love Your Sister forever

I wish I could convey to you and your family all that I am feeling right now. All I can do is let you know that I will hold you all in prayer, this is just terrible that a young person should leave so suddenly. I hope you all have lots of love to surround you and uplift you at this time of sorrow.

Hugs and love from your friend, Janice
