a sweet friend of mine called me a couple weeks ago

just devastated she was not pregnant yet after 6 months of trying

we talked, 

well I talked & she sobbed

for an hour :(

Yesterday she leaned over during a very busy time at my work

to whisper in my ear

I have a baby in my tummy :)

the news could not have come at a more perfect time :)

it sure reinforced that despite all else

life is good :)

no one else knows so I can not say any names

or give out too much info

but she is beautifully brown

her partner is very light skinned

& together I am positive

they will make the perfect baby :)

I am so honored to be carrying this secret :)

Auntie Joan & Uncle Wally

Doug's aunt & uncle will be married 40 years this weekend!

WOW that is a long time ago!

when they got married their bridesmaids wore purple velvet

so I knew I wanted to incorporate some purple

one of the reasons love crafting is for the reflection

the "me time" that I can just think bout nothin

& everything all at once

no pressure 

just crafting

I tend to think bout those I am crafting for

about what they mean to me

as I was makin this card I got to thinkin bout Auntie Joan

how she is a beautiful soul :)

always accepting

lovin my boys

that big smile

with the funnest giggle

the most awesomest socks

& the coolest purplish hair

she always sees the positive in every situation

everyone jokes she wears rose colored glasses

& although my opinion doesn't matter (I am just married in)

I think she is just a very special lady :)

she warms my heart

they say happy is contagious

I love to catch her happy :)

I could not get a good picture so you can not really tell

but the girl "joan" is actually raised & looks as if she is steppin outta the card

into her next 40 years :)
